*biography,

 Neneki Neki  was found wandering the forests of the Shroud, hungry and alone, by their mothers. They had stumbled upon the farm, merely a wee Miqo'te, and had been trying to steal crops to eat. The two Lalafell women, immediately taken by them, decided to take them in and raise them as their own child, since they nary spoke of parents, nor a tribe, nor even a name. Thus, the two deigned them Neneki Neki, and so they would forever be.They grew up on that farm, helping their mothers and the few farmhands they employed as they tended to the crops. Their mothers often wrote to family in La Noscea, and told Neneki of rolling seas, salty air, and so, so many fish. Very interesting to little Neneki. But when they weren't busy helping on the farm, they were off traipsing through the forests, hunting mice and making friends with the Sylphs. (Their mothers assume this is where Neneki picked up a habit of referring to themself in the third person, but Neneki refuses to elaborate on it.)As they grew older, so too did their chaos grow more more chaotic. In an attempt to reign their child in, Neneki's mothers took them to Gridania, hoping they might find their calling within botany, or leatherworking...but instead? They found their calling in conjury. After plenty of time to study and hone their craft, now an adult, Neneki braved their way into the world ---- and went straight to Limsa Lominsa to instead hone their skill in fishing. (How they came upon the magic of the astrologian is another thing they refuse to elaborate on.)While many adventurers may have grand notions of helping people, or earning their weight in gil, Neneki only aspires to catch every fish in the waters, the sand, and the skies... Offering their skills in conjury and healing is merely a means to an end.
